MR. C STEVEN BAILEY: Glaucoma is one of the commonest reasons for blindness and the key is early detection. That’s why we screen everybody who comes through the practice. We have visual field analysis equipment; we have access to optic nerve head analysis equipment, all sorts of facilities to identify the condition before it causes any visual damage. In people who have glaucoma, we can treat it, usually with drops once a day.
